The eighth Annual Women’s Leadership Conference is open to the community and will be from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, March 28, in the Professional Training and Education Center.
The conference is to “help celebrate women’s history month (in March),” Director of Women’s Studies Michelle Brockmeier, said.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative Scholarship will be awarded during the conference. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 24.

The conference begins with registration and a light breakfast at 8 a.m. Speakers will make presentations throughout the day, and attendees may attend two workshops. President Jeanie Webb, the first female president of RSC, will speak briefly in the morning.
The conference will conclude by 2 p.m., ending with Oklahoma Department of Mental Health Commissioner Terri White speaking, a box lunch and drawings for door prizes.
The goal of the conference is for participants to have a “pragmatic, practical and positive” experience and to leave feeling positive, Brockmeier said.
To attend the conference, you must RSVP by visiting www.rose.edu/womens-leadership-conference. Due to space issues, only the first 130 people to RSVP will be allowed to attend the event. For questions, contact Brockmeier at mbrockmeier@rose.edu.
