The Rose State College Dental Hygiene Clinic is now accepting appointments for children 3 – 12 years old. This appointment may include prophylaxis (teeth cleaning), examination and fluoride treatment. Additional services, oral radiographs (x-rays) and sealant placement may be scheduled at a later time. There is a fee of $5.00 and appointments are limited. Contact us as soon as possible at 733-7337 for available dates and appointment scheduling for the fall semester.

Rose State College is offering free self-service tax preparation starting February 6th until April 13, 2012.

Enjoy a short stack for a tall cause

Saturday, December the 3rd the Rose State College’s Study Abroad Club will be holding a flapjack fundraiser Breakfast. the breakfast will be hosted by Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, located at 608 Air Depot Blvd. Midwest City Oklahoma 73110. The cost will be $7.00 per person. Bring your family and friends to help raise funds for these students.

Holiday lighting ceremony

Come join us as we open the Christmas season with our Holiday Lighting Ceremony. Santa will be here; there will be a horse carriage ride, hot chocolate, s’mores, and music. Be sure to have your little ones bring their letter to Santa and a camera to capture their smiles while the visit with Santa.

Adopted School Party benefiting Telstar and Willowbrook elementary schools. Volunteers welcome, sign up in Student Activities. This is an event where our adopted school 1st graders come to campus for a party, visit with Santa and holiday celebration.

The Bee’s Knees art show

The Frances White Hughes Scholars of Rose State College are hosting an on-campus art show that will feature the artistic talents of the Bee’s Knees artists. The mission of Bee’s Knees is to promote self-sufficiency for young adults with special needs through entrepreneurial experiences and business skills. The event will be October 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Center Dining Hall.  The first day will feature a pre-exhibition art show with displays of past works of the artists, then on the second day the artists will be creating paintings to be raffled off, and a wide variety of prints from their artwork will be available for sale. Donations will be accepted, and will benefit the program by purchasing supplies, pursue further forms of entrepreneurship, and fund social activities for the young artists.

VOICE/OIL Club visits Oklahoma Senate

Nov. 9 – 13, Oklahoma State Senate

Students will be participating in the Oklahoma State Legislation process in-order to learn and see Oklahoma’s State government at work.   They will be able to amend bills, create new bills.  Students will also be able to sit and have dinner with the Senator and Representatives.  For more information please contact Destini Payne at 405-219-2777.
